Viva La Vida，西班牙语，意为生命万岁。很早之前就在听这首歌，只是当年只感觉这是一首振奋人心的励志歌曲。今天知道了，这首歌是为路易十六所作，一个死在自己设计的断头台上的国王。大概可以想象，路易十六，站在断头台前，响起这样的旋律，还在回味着千秋万代的白日梦。
实际上国王不好当，平衡各方利益，谈何容易。在历史洪流面前，谁都不堪一击。耐人寻味的是，写给路易十六的歌却那么慷慨激昂，还取名叫生命万岁。酷玩是把这歌上升到了生老病死，万物轮回的高度了。
